A while back, I had a great experience buying a car for myself through Pat and his team, so I figured I'd go back to him. Honestly, they acted like my cash wasn’t worth their time, haha. It seemed like the guy selling cars was more into his lunch plans than helping me out. I had to sit around waiting while he yapped on the phone, which was really let down. The whole experience felt unfriendly and lacking, maybe 'cause I was in my work attire. They didn’t even bother to offer me a chair while I hung around, which struck me as pretty disrespectful.

If I had the choice, I’d rate this product at a big fat zero. I really recommend steering clear of buying a vehicle from this seller, as they don’t stand by their warranty promises. They keep ignoring emails and calls, showing a total lack of professionalism and guts. Honestly, this business owner is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. We got a car with known problems, and it broke down just an hour after we started using it. It’s been stuck in the shop for weeks now. Even though we’ve tried reaching out for a refund on the repair costs, they’ve vanished completely. Do yourself a favor and don’t even think about buying from this person.

We found a car we liked and had cash ready to go. It drove just fine, and we were happy with it. But, like anyone buying a used car, we wanted to get it checked out to make sure it wasn’t a lemon. Sadly, the owner, Michael, wouldn’t let us have an independent inspection, saying, "I don’t want someone else messing with my car." So, we had to fork over a deposit just to get it inspected.

While chatting with Michael, we spotted a few things that needed fixing. He pulled the usual tricks of a used car dealer, saying the problems were just because the car hadn’t been driven much and that they’d fix themselves in a few weeks. He really underestimated me and brushed off my worries. Turns out, I was right, and he was just trying to pull a fast one. He wouldn’t budge on the price and bluntly told us that if we didn’t want the car, someone else would snatch it up.

Michael was rude, disrespectful, and full of himself, and I think he might have some mood swings. But hey, maybe we should thank him for being such a jerk, because it pushed us to keep looking and we ended up finding a way better car for a fairer price. I’d never suggest this dealership to anyone.

One was for my mom, and she’s already paid it off with a 5.9% interest rate over three years. They fixed the only problem we had at no cost. I got a car from them, and it’s been amazing! If something goes wrong, they’re super quick to sort it out with their own mechanic. I sent back an aerial since it didn't meet its intended use. I paid via Paypal. Jason asked me to close the case, or else he wouldn't give a refund. I went along with his request, and now I can't open a dispute. It's pretty annoying. The product was subpar, as the aerial felt weak and the packaging was lacking. I'd suggest being careful if you're thinking about returning anything to this seller.

I've heard plenty about the tactics of 'Used' car dealers and stumbled upon a tale that perfectly shows why it's wise to keep your distance from them.

The salesman, Bryan Olds, looked reliable at first. I can't say for sure if he knew about the car's hidden problems, which were cleverly masked under a thick layer of paint. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, though.

I bought a 2013 Subaru Outback with a fair number of miles on it, which makes sense given the price we paid. The car seemed to be in solid working order and drove well during the test run. Gotta hand it to the mechanics for making these vehicles look and sound good enough to sell.

Visually, the rust level seemed okay, as long as the car wasn’t lifted in a garage. But when I took it to my trusted mechanic, the real story came out. He found clear signs of rust that had been poorly painted over. The undercarriage and engine area had overspray that looked like it came from a spray can. Major engine parts, mounts, pulleys, and suspension bits were painted over without any effort to deal with the rust first. It was a classic case of lazy corrosion prevention.

The car's history report showed no accidents. However, the first hint that I should’ve looked closer was the rear left quarter panel. It was peeling up, showing broken clips that were meant to keep it secure. My mechanic figured the whole rear bumper must’ve been swapped out. The rear trunk lid was misaligned, with noticeable gaps that made me question if the frame was even straight. The exhaust pipe didn’t fit the cutout in the plastic bumper, causing it to melt from the heat. Not sure if that’s a fire risk, but hey, if it does go up in flames, at least my insurance will cover a new ride.

The exhaust also had a broken heat shield, barely hanging on with one non-rusted bolt. It was quiet during the initial test drive, but once we hit the highway, it sounded like it was rattling off the exhaust. The whole exhaust system will need replacing, so I might as well replace the heat shield while I’m at it.

After my mechanic took a look at the car, I reached out to the manager or owner. Sadly, in Washington, a car is only deemed a lemon if it’s sold by a reputable dealer. The 'as is' rule is in play here. The manager had no plans to take the car back, which was already a sign of the customer service I should’ve anticipated. He did offer to have his mechanic (the same ones who painted over the rust) check it out and fix any safety issues. It seems they can only be sued if the car has obvious safety problems.

If you ever find yourself dealing with a company like this, do yourself a favor and check out the reviews on Google and similar sites. Unfortunately, because of COVID, I couldn’t get my mechanic to inspect the car until three weeks later. While it might be a hassle to take the car to a mechanic, even if it’s their own, and have it lifted, it could save you the trouble and cash needed to fix these problems. The choice is clear: just walk away from the car. If you know you’re buying a clunker and are okay with paying for one, then this is the spot for you.

This site often leans towards giving reviews that show a strong preference for various brands and types. Personally, I don’t put all my trust in their views, since they often clash with other reviews and feedback from actual owners.

Is it just me, or have all the glowing reviews been sitting there for five years? I mean, there’s absolutely nothing from last year, 2019. It really makes you think.

Seems like a lot of the writers just don’t have the know-how in their areas. Quite a few of the reviews seem biased, off-base, or just plain false. I often catch myself double-checking the facts after going through their pieces. It’d be smarter to turn to more trustworthy sources for info.

It's kinda strange how your take on different luxury vehicles clashes with the well-respected ratings from Consumer Reports. This is especially true for the BMW 7 series, Cadillac models, and the Mercedes Benz S class. Even though these rides are labeled as luxury cars, folks don't really think they're worth the money, based on what that reliable source says.

Decent fundamental material, might need to be broader depending on the topic and appears to have some overlap with Motor Authority. Not entirely convinced both are necessary, but that's my take.

The review leans a bit heavily on recalls, which are already well-covered in other places and could be briefly summarized here. I’m with the other reviewer who suggested adding more details about the used car market. In the UK, new car reviews usually mention expected depreciation, helping folks figure out the real cost of ownership over a few years.

There are some fantastic and budget-friendly cars from yesteryear that you can snag for a mere fraction of what they once cost. Take older Mini Coopers, Celica GTS, C5 Corvettes, early BMW 3 Series, Cobalt SS, and others, for instance. These rides can deliver a thrilling experience without emptying your wallet. This is the type of stuff I enjoy reading about, instead of those pie-in-the-sky dream machines that drop in value faster than a rookie in the game.
